Hi,

Have a GRE 500.
Still a bit confused with "trunking"

I saw the following list for Troop A/H Trunk Frequencies (Greater Boston).
If I program in the two frequencies designated as Control, does this mean I will "automatically" pick up any of the remainder, if active ?

Or, do all have to be put in ?

Thanks,
B.

You can just put in the control freq. The radio will pick up all the rest automaticlly. Thats one reason why I love the radio!

I suggest asking in the Mass. Forum. There are hundreds of avid scanner listeners in the Boston area. I'm sure they have all the answers - even some that haven't been asked. :)

Bob,
You need just the control channels for that zone. But you will need to set up your talkgroups , there are a lot in that zone. It's best to use the software like Win5oo to program.
For more info go to www.scannewengland.net

I found that entering the frequencies from radioreference.com then setting the scanner to control channel only worked best for me.
