In addition to the link wtp provided, if you are using FreeSCAN, see the user guide in the Wiki: FreeScan User Guide - The RadioReference Wiki

'7 step download process'? That's a new one on me...anyway...

Before you even go there,I'd suggest brushing up on what trunking is, and some of the things - like how to allocate and track quick keys - you will need to understand in order to program this radio correctly

The Easier to Read guide and FreeScan's user guide have a lot of background on quick keys, but first, you need to understand trunking. UPMan wrote a nice article on the subject, and the link for it can be found here

Program your DMA Scanner - The RadioReference Wiki

This article contains links to just about everything you will need to know. DMA is daunting for a newcomer; I'd strongly suggest just programming one or two systems first, then slowly build onto that (making backups as you go so you can restore if you mess up - we've all done it...). Trying to do too much at once is simply likely to frustrate you
