Your master site
Trunker and the trunker-like applications have their own forum which I've moved this to. Please re-check the forum names before creating new threads. The Motorola forum is for discussion of Motorola products only. Thanks.

On the Top of this page, click the Database link and select your country, state/province and city and search for the system you are trying to monitor. Once you find the system, let me know what the SystemId is.

The 400mhz sites use either the simple settings for Base Freq, Step and Offset, but some use 2 or more settings to describe the "BandPlan".

Once you have the correct info, you'll be trunking like all the rest :)

for my country, Italy, there is only one system in Venice, i'm from Rome, i'd like to trunk Municipal Police here, motorolaII system.

i can tell you the control channel (one of them) is on 465.675. some voice frequencies are

465.950.00
466.125.00
466.475.00
466.787.50
466.800.00
467.800.00
467.925.00
468.000.00
468.012.50
468.025.00
468.525.00
468.687.50
468.737.50

and some talkgroup ID's are

1936
3696
5136
8336
9936
16336
13136
2256
17936
19536
29136

you can see they all finish with six.

a friend with ubc780xlt told me these.. and that for special evetns there are 2 more talkgroups,
176
208

he told me these ID could be written in hexadecimal too, we were trying to get the base freq. and offset but it's hard.

Ok, now that you have the frequencies, I need one more thing to help
determine the BandPlan.

In TrunkPCR, these frequencies should be saved in a bank and each frequency
saved to a different channel in this bank.
In the Trunk Settings, Set this System as Moto(Motorola), System Type II.
Click the [Custom] Button to define as a custom BandPlan for now.
(we'll fill in the data later, after we figure this out)

Follow the instructions on the TrunkPCR's Help Page to connect your PCR to
your sound card and set the Line-Input level (Recording). Set the the
channel to the Control Channel.

After you have your initial levels set, click the [Trunk] Button, then the
[Dump] Button to bring up the Control Channel Activity Window. When this
window is displayed, click the [Pause] button for now...
Now click the Control Tab to see what chanels are active.

If you don't see any data, you may have to change the polarity in the Trunk
Settings...

When you are seeing a good Recovery Rate and the Control List is filling up
with data, then that will help us get the data that we need.
In the Frequency Column, you will see numbers like "0xhhhh", where the hhhh
will be some hexidecimal number.

After you have about 8 or more of these values (including the value for the
Control Channel), you can either write them down and email them to me, or
you can send me the ".Bnk" file for this bank from the Banks Folder (after
you close the program or click the File Menu->Save Bank in the main
window)...

After I receive the email with this info, I will be able to figure out the
BandPlan for this syetm and will email you back with the numbers that's
needed for the Custom or Extended BandPlan...

Regards,
Jay
