Is anyone on here using TrunkStar Pro http://www.scanstar.com/products/tsprosamples.htm

I would like some reviews of it if possible looking at purchasing it in the near future.
Jason, it depends what systems you intend to monitor.
These screen shots are from a transfer from scanner to the software with correctly set multi tables.

Pic 1 is the actual multi table transfer.
Pic 2 is what is should have been. (I edited the data so that it is correct)
Pic 3 is what happened after clicking Ok then re-opening the dialog. (note, the data is incorrect again)

I plan on monitoring the apco 25 common air system here in Sioux City. It's all 800MHZ with some simple talk groups to seperate 4 agencys that are interopiable.

Yup, Trunkstar at it's finest.

I tried it many years ago and found a bug with other band trunking systems.

I emailed the company to let them know and the response I got was "can't be possible as we test extensively but if we find anything we'll correct it for the next version".

I gave the ARC product line a try, found a bug and it was squashed pretty quick.

Guess which software I bought?

Yep, the BuTel line is very popular; but this begs the question - with which radio were you planning to use this software? This software supposedly works with many of the other trunktrackers, not just the current Uniden offerings.... 73s Mike

Thanks for the help guys maybe I will sway away from trunkstar then, I plan on using a BC796D with it and if it don't work for the money that would be a little less than exciting.

Yup, go look at ARC250, followed closely by Scan Control (I'd recommend Scan Control if you don't need audio recording, and need to be able to migrate data from older Uniden scanners....) IDTracker works with that scanner as well. All of these, and more can be found on our BC796D wiki page.
