Hi. I've been using my 346XT with my own programmed frequencies with the pre-installed frequencies locked out. I have taken a trip to an area where I can use the pre-programmed frequencies so have unlocked them. When I navigate back to the scan screen I get a "no programed frequencies" message. Any idea why?

I have made sure that all groups and subgroups are enabled. This is for the LA and SD areas which are trunked if that makes a difference.
Thanks.

Did you make sure that the System(s) are unlocked.
While scanning press HOLD key
While Depressing the Func button turn the Scroll knob to the System you want to monitor and make sure that the L/O icon is not displayed. If the L/O icon is displayed unlock the system. You will have to do this for each system you want to listen to.

Thanks killowa22. I've tried as you suggest and indeed the system is unlocked. If I hit hold again to go back into scan mode the display says " Scan Mode-- Nothing to Scan" If I unlock a system that I have created then that works fine.
Any more suggestions?
Thanks.

I'm not sure if I have talk groups programmed in, I assume that they would since I'm using the untouched system programmed by Uniden. Is there something that can effectively lockout a system even though lockout is unchecked fir that system, i.e. a setting somewhere that effectively does the same thing?

Thanks for the info. Tried it now I can switch back and forth between my programmed groups. I wish the CD had provided this info. Using Free Scan
