TRX-1 and EZScan Questions

I have a couple questions about the EZScan software.

When adding talk groups to a trunked system there is an option on the right side of the window to import talk groups from a text file. What is the necessary format of this text file? Is there any example available somewhere that I haven't found? I would like to use it if possible but don't know how to set up the file.

Also, when a trunked system has multiple sites, is there a setting to scan through all of the sites during each scan cycle, or to just lock onto the strongest site? If the option is available I am unable to find it.

took me a bit to figure this out use comma and quotes works for trunked to well for trx2 anyway

Thank you. Does this apply for talk groups also?

For example:

TalkGroupID, "ALPHA"

5505, "American Ambulance"

from clipboard it works i cant seem to get import to work on this new version of ezscan but all you have to do is select the bar at top TGRP and alpha tag

There's a listing of the fields in the help file under the tab reference area. Look under the convention and trunked tabs for these.

I answered this question in the above post. This is what I said...

To import data from a text file or the clipboard, the data needs to be in CSV (Comma Seperated Variable) format with the first row being the headers. You can read what the columns are in the Help system in EZ-Scan by searching for "importing external data".
