I purchased a TRX-1 especially for use on DMR. I was very dissatisfied with its DMR performance after 3 months of use. The radio would constantly drop conversations or not unmute at all even when other radios I own were working fine. The TRX-1 could have full signal strength on its meter. I tried various settings, filters ahead of the unit to eliminate FM bcst desense, different antennas,etc. I even took the radio with me to Boston where it behaved the same. It did not matter if the signal was conventional (e.g., NJTRBO Amateur) or trunked. The results were the same
I bought it from The Ham Station and they are VERY VERY supportive and replacing the radio even though it is past their return policy deadline. GREAT VENDOR!!!
The new radio is one its way. Are there any other TRX-1 DMR users in the Bucks/Montco area who can comment on their experience with the radio? Possible settings in use, etc?
