Yes, I picked one up about a month ago. I'm having the same issue. I'll have it scanning, and after a while I won't hear anything from it. I look over and it's off. I turn it back on and it's fine.

It still works well for you though? Have you noticed a certain time or anything that causes it

Is Auto-Power-On set? I see where you can set the time for the scanner to turn on, and in what mode... but can find nothing as to how long it stays on in that mode. Maybe if Auto-Power-On is set there's an unknown length of time it stays on, even if you turned it on at some other time.

It still works ok. I haven't noticed any one time that it turns off. I did noticed there was a CPU update available for it. I did the update so maybe that will correct the issue.

Auto on/off is in the programming menu, you can set a time of day to turn the scanner on and/or off. Since the clock easier gets out of sync, it could be turning you off at "weird" times.

I've had unexpected shutdowns but it's always been because it was running on batteries unexpectedly (e.g. loose USB cable) or similar.

Found the auto on/off and adjusted it. Still shuts off though unexpectedly, have noticed sometimes it's because power cord is bumped. But not all times.

Safe to say the power cord is the culprit, as you say sometimes when it is bumped it happens, other times not. Loose connection possible where you cannot see. Try adjusting tension and slack in the line, different angles, etc, possibly change to different outlet, different USB power cord if you have one.

Does this problem occur when you are using straight battery power? I did not read anything about battery power vs. USB/power sources and if it occurs no matter what power source you are using. Process of elimination here, fiddle with this, change that, etc, and you'll figure it out. Seek and ye shall find.

I had the same problem out of the box and the auto on/off shutoff was my fix.

Good luck with that!
