I have a trucked system with two sites. They are about 15 miles apart.by land.
The only problem I have is sometimes I have to lock out site one so site two works properly.
I have no problem locking it in or out using the EZ SCAN.
My question is can I manually (using the scanner only) to lock the site/sites in or out using the Edit Sites.
I am having a problem trying to use the Edit Sites.
Most of the time I can get all the talkgroups on both sites from my home location. But one particular talk group only works when I only use one site at a time.. So I want to be able to manually lock sites in and out when I am on the road.

I had the exact same problem. I ended up programming one site as a system and the other site as another separate system. Have them in separate scan lists. That way you can easily toggle them off or on. It's a pain but that's how I solved that problem.

In a system with multiple sites, how do you determine what site your hearing a talkgroup on? I've never thought about this before, but the "site" is not shown on the display.... ?

press "browse objects"
press <> to find your system
when you find your system, press
sel.
press "menu"
down arrow to locate "edit system" >
down arrow to locate "edit sites, >
> to locate site you want to lockout. press "sel"
down arrow to locate check box labeled
"locked out" check box and site is now
locked out. If you uncheck this box, that
site ia again active.
