TRX 1 search problems

Hello! This is my first post, it's very nice to be here :)

I live in Poland, just bought my TRX-1 and I have two problems.

First one - in my country all CB transmissions are going in AM, and limited search offers me only FM as I can see, is there any posibilty to change modulation in search mode, or it only depends of preprogrammed by Whistler bandplan?

Second one, if I'll find interesting frequency, it is possible to write it directly to my scanlist? (I'm still talking about limited search) For example im giving my scanner frequency range from x to y, leaving it for couple of hours alone and just picking interesting me frequencies to my scanlist?

Btw. is available any changelog of new firmwares or something what describes bandplans actually able to use on TRX?

Not at the minute it seems. An odd omission for a top-line scanner? A user configurable band-plan would be a significant improvement over this key limitation on the TRX range.

Regards

1) Radio should default to AM mode. You can check by opening the squelch, and seeing if AM is displayed in the upper right hand corner of the display.

2) Yes you can write your found frequency into a scanlist. You just need to decide what list is your default. I suggest labeling it, "Found Freqs" or Found Channels"

3) The list of updates can be viewed in EZ Scan when you go to update the radio.

.....and not just Uniden. Every single scanner I've owned in 40+ years has had a configurable step size and modulation type. And somehow, the most expensive one I've ever bought doesn't !!! (go figure ???)

I'm searching for something,
Scanner stops on transmission,
I'm pressing pause button and listening for example voice,
During transmission I can add channel to my scanlist, but if transmission goes over and I still have this frequency on my screen paused, I can't pick option "Store" in menu, I have to open squelch maximum (to hear noise) and that brings it back in menu with makes me able to store it.

Hopefully u guys know what I mean :)

Does this help?

When an item is found in search (or wildcard), I believe you can store it by hitting MENU while it is active.

CB:Browse library>nationwide>citizens band add this to a scanlist
use EZscan and change the modulation to ANY or FM.
So that can work for you.

Search also has a receive mode option,why this is not included on cb?

When searching hit MENU it will give you an option for STORE CHANNEL.It stores it to your default scanlist.Then you move it within Ezscan or the scanner you just go to browse objects then find the frequency and change the scanlist number to move it.
