I use 3- and 4-scanner desk mounts for my scanners. However, I find this inconvenient with the TRX-2 because I need to detach the head to get at the SDR card for updating, changing firmware, etc. I just use the standard single mounting bracket that comes with scanners.
I gave up trying to use the USB port for new Whistlers (WS1080, TRX-1, and TRX-2) because the transfer times are like watching a glacier melt. Anyone have any ideas for better solution. I would like to mount together with my 536HP, 996P2, and BCT15X in a 4-scanner mount. Thank you.

why not simply remote the head? Make an extension on the top of your set up to hold it. Solves your SD card excess. BTW, you still need to connect to the PC for firmware updates.

A small piece of 1/8 or 1/16 angle mounted to the top of the scanner mount (double sided tape) would hold it or slide the scanner forward and drill 2 new holes to allow the front to be removed.
