I may have an opportunity to pick-up a used TRX-2 from a friend, however I know its library/DB has likely not been updated in sometime. Just curious if the library is still updated weekly through RR?

Thanks!

I don't have the TRX-2, but I do have the TRX-1, WS1080 and PSR800 (upgraded to WS1080), and I've never missed an update. I last updated them last week, and later today (Saturday) I'll update them again. Whistler is doing a good job of getting these updates out every week.

Excellent, thanks! I assume it is a pretty easy process to do the updates?

Just to clarify, the updates come from the RR database but are done by Whistler, not RR. Updates are easy to do, just four clicks and it does it for you.

The database is not brand specific. It can be accessed through many different software packages used for radio programming. You will need the EZ Scan software which is a free download from Whistler.

Thanks for the clarification! I am glad that despite Whistler's future in the scanner market appearing to be questionable these days, they are keeping up with the updates. Hopefully they will continue to do so! (y)
