I had a 1095 that was working excellent on analog hooked up to my outdoor discone antenna.

I picked up a TRX-2 and brought in the programming from my 1095.

when I receive an analog signal, there is lots of static and what seems like pager noise in the signal.

is there something I’m missing on the TRX-2 programming?

The trx-2 will receive NXDN and DMR, sounds like one of those analogs are actually NXDN or DMR, set the scanner the proper one, use RAdio reference to determine what is correct.

Then copy the configuration again as something is wrong or look at the data in ezscan and compare them, if all else fails reinstall the cpu and dsp firmwares.

There are several others, including me, that are plauged with intermod issues on the TRX scanner, especially in the 150-170MHz band. There's something not right with the TRX front end in this band. When a local pager transmitter 3 miles away starts to transmit on 169MHz the modulation gets overlayed on all other frequencies in that band that I try to monitor.

I have to reduce the antenna signal to get rid of it on the TRX but three other Uniden scanner on the same splitter doesn't have any issues. When measuring the sensitivity using a signal generator the TRX have the worse sensitivity of those scanners and the SQ cannot be set to a level that are the same optimum setting for all diffferent frequency bands, as opposed to the Uniden scanners that have a consitent SQ level on all bands.

Make sure your analog frequencies are set to NFM and use PL tones if you can. Don't use "AUTO" mode for any analog frequency.

Since you're hearing paging bursts, you'll likely want a paging notch filter from PAR. First, I would try a FM notch filter first -- as they're fairly inexpensive.

I have FM + NOAA notch filters on my discone to alleviate the intermod with my TRX-1. Paging is sometimes an issue for me too but I'm since I'm listening to 80/20 digital vs analog -- it doesn't bother me that much.

(You'll want to verify that your paging transmitters are on 152 Mhz... you may only have one or two that are really strong. Dale might be able to notch them out on their specific frequencies.)
