Anyone know a way to move, insert cut/paste in the programming software esp. in the conventional area or are you stuck with adding new channels below.is there a data file created that one can work on.

As far as I know, the only way to do what you're asking is to set up your conventional channels in a spreadsheet first. Re-arrange them as you like in Excel, then import them into EZ Scan. You have to get everything set up just right for it to work properly. See this thread for more info:

you can click on the header ( Alpha Tag, Frequency etc) and it will sort the column A-Z or Z-A for example.

No, this is not possible. The data files are not supposed to be edited. It is quite frustrating. There should be other threads around here on this very topic.

It doesn't matter what order they are in the database as someone else said they can be sorted by ANY of the individual columns just by clicking the label at the top. This includes playlist. so you can find what channels are in each playlist or add them to a playlist or make a new playlist by using a number that has not been used yet (not sure what the limits are on it 1-xxx?
