TRX1 nothing to scan"

Have just had the radio for a few days.
I can no longer get frequencies by location/zip code scan-- radio says "nothing to scan"

I have updated library and other parameters., still no joy!!
Suggestions please?
If scanlist is important to this feature., pls. confirm the procedure to implement?
