I've run the TRX-1 software for years on a Windows 10 VM in Parallels for Mac with no issues.

I am trying to get it going on a new Mac, running the M1 (Apple) chipset, and a Windows 11 VM in Parallels. Win11 is the ARM version. I know... all of this is likely unsupported ;-)

When I launch the TRX-1 app, it reports "Access Violation at (some memory address)... Program Terminated" and does not start. Any ideas? I've tried compatibility mode, and exempting it from Windows Defender... no change.

I would appreciate any pointers on this one. Thank you in advance!

Try temporarily disabling Windows Defender or any third party antivirus software and running the app as administrator. Any change?
If yes, try suggestion in posting #5 here

I also recall in the "old days", Windows had a safe mode that would allow one to bypass many of the roadblocks that sometimes interfereed with the installation of programs. Not even sure if that would apply to running Windows via Parellel on an Apple.

:) I am not aware of Win-11, as I have nothing that will run it (according to their own statements and nagware), but Win 10 has a 'driver signing block' that can be temporarily disabled (that many have been able to use to get their scanner/software talking). If this is the case, there are posts here about it (maybe not for Win-11 but it'll give you some ideas if it is the cause of your issue, for searching, concerning Win-11). After (if able, and the issue) I would suggest you re-enable it afterwards, as it is a valuable tool within windows against malware of almost all types. Good luck! :)

I was never able to get this to work under Parallels on my M1 MB Air. I don't think the TRX software likes the ARM version of windows.

That's what I am finding as well. I've tried everything noted above (thank you all) and more, and no luck.
Sounds like I will have to keep 'that one old laptop' for the single purpose of programming a TRX-1...
