Knowing very little about scanning basics I turn to you all for help. I bought the aforementioned scanner in the title from eBay. I was hoping to use it to pick up two channels. 152.39000 and 157.65000 from here
Businesses Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

I've skimmed over the manual above and get error when trying to save the above channels.

So first question is this scanner able to even pick up those frequencies?

I tried broadcasting (holding the mic down on a radio) on one of the unused channels while scanning and caught the broadcast on a totally different frequency # 45.000 something.

While scanning open channels the scanner seems to just skip the entire #range I want.

So can anyone help me understand what I am missing here? Do I just need to buy different scanner altogether to get the frequencies I want?

What steps are you following? It should work fine for those frequencies.

Ok thanks Paul, I went back over what I was doing and realized I was mixing up the term "channels" with "frequency" . I was entering a frequency number as a channel number... It was complete user error
