Orange,CT doesn’t have it’s own EMS and uses AMR. Is there a particular South Central CMED channel for EMS calls in Orange?
Thanks!
Thanks!
They are actually using Med-92..Northwest C-Med has a permeant patch between Med-1 Southbury, Med-9 Watertown, Med-10 Danbury, Med-92 Seymour and Med-102 MeridenFrom time to time the fly car will sign on with NorthWest Public Safety on Med-102 but I also hear them on Med 6 going to YNHH/HSR
Thanks so much! The medic fly car is dispatched on the Orange PD channel and responds on that channel. You do hear them on the AMR New haven channel but it normally its after they are on scene and asking about the incoming transport ambulance
The Woodbridge medic is the same, dispatched on the Woodbridge PD channel and stays on it. If they go for an intercept in Bethany they will come up on Med-92.
I got it! Thank you!Start with the AMR dispatch frequency. 453.025..It's bang'n 24/7.
Then go to CMED channels (such as they are in its present iteration) and look for the med channels for YNNH and if I'm not mistaken, the patch for Milford and Griffin. The location and nature of the event in town determine which facility the transport will be made.
But, if AMR dispatches to PD107 either with the "fly car" or otherwise, it'll be on 453.025.
Yes the Orange PD are the R-1 responders in Orange. BUT they also dispatch out OVFD if the PD is all tied upThanks so much!
I’ll give Orange PD a call later and ask them to go unencrypted so we can all listen to the fly car getting dispatched!😂😂😂😂
BTW are Orange PD Units first responders?
OVFD is not an R-1 service if I remember correctly, so they would only go to aid in a lift assist when requested.Yes the Orange PD are the R-1 responders in Orange. BUT they also dispatch out OVFD if the PD is all tied up
Correct. We were always the first responders and...we shall always remains as such unless there is a paid FD (Horrors! Perish the thought!) or there is a full time fly car in town. It's sometimes yes and sometimes no. Yes, I do remember clearing the throat passage on an individual (gagging on his teeth) at an MVA on #34 between Orange Ctr. and Racebrook) and having the individual projectile vomit into my face. First responder? You do what you have to do. Although I disagree with OPD following suit with Milford and WHPD with their routine communications...we made fun of Woodbridge PD when they had PD101 on the old (remember that?) 45.24 frequency.Yes the Orange PD are the R-1 responders in Orange. OVFD does get dispatched out by OPD for medicals when all of their cars are tied up and the Fly car is unavailableCorrect. OPD is the R1 but there is an agreement in the Town that OVFD will get dispatched when all of the PD units are tied up and the fly car is not availableOVFD is not an R-1 service if I remember correctly, so they would only go to aid in a lift assist when requested.
