Hello,

I am new to the community and trying to install the North Texas Interface Radio Network P25 on a recently purchased Uniden BCD325P2 and I have had no luck whatsoever, and I am at my wits end. I've downloaded Freescan, Proscan, and ARC XT, and none of them are being recognized by my computer. I am utilizing the USB cable that came with the uniden scanner. Not sure what specific drivers or anything else that I need to do, but help and guidance for someone that is brand new to this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Joey

I checked and found that the driver is no longer available on that link. You can use the link for the driver installation instructions. The driver file is attached:

I'm using windows 10, 64 bit, you just plug it in and it works. Likely your issue is is having to find the comm port.

Freescan, go to Scanner, to send from freescan to your radio, click on Upload programming. The window that comes up, click where it says COM and next window, select Start Auto.
Need to do this everytime.

ARC XT, go to Scanner, Communications Setup, Select Autodetect Scanner.
Need to do this everytime.

@SpeedbumpJoey Go to this website: Driver Install for the Uniden Bearcat | Scanner Master

Click on 'BCD325P2 Driver'

That will get you to this page: info.uniden.com/twiki/bin/view/UnidenMan4/BCD325P2

Go down the page, and-

Follow the directions under 'Serial Driver'.

Then, FreeScan, Proscan, and ARC-XT will be able to recognize your scanner. AFTER you connect the USB cable.

When you click on that link, the instructions are there for installing the driver but the driver itself is no longer available. I get an error message when I click on the driver to download it. That is why I attached the driver.
I called Scanner Master about the driver for the 325p2. They were unaware that the driver was afoul and told me, that. Will be added to the list of 'chores' for their new Website Designer.
