Greetings!
If anyone has/is using the cross band repeat function used in the Kenwood TS-2000 is there a way to control the modulation?
I have searched the manual and am unable to locate any way to control the amplitude of the repeated audio. The deviation of the repeated transmission is so high that the carrier drops out! I am receiving 2 meter transmissions and repeating that signal on 70 cm. The 2 meter transmission is normal when listening on the TS-2K but the 70 cm repeated transmission drops out on voice peaks. Likewise when using 70 cm alone the transmission is normal according to reports. Additionally, when monitoring the 70 cm repeated transmission on another receiver the same dropout occurs.
Any ideas from radio land?
