Not sure what area will be hit somewhere from Tampa to further north? Sometime Mon night into Tues morning some areas be busy on their radio systems. Not sure if FL FHP be using 800 Conv analog.

it is most certainly time to make preparations for impact.... like NOW.

I wish everyone who gets impacted by this hurricane are safe - projections are showing this as a "major" hurricane and landfall and still at hurricane strength when entering south Georgia. If you are in the direct path and have the ability - LEAVE.

From Hernando County. They are preliminarily predicting landfall in the big bend/Levy county area. But count on nothing ! . The best to all in the sunshine state.Stay vigilant/stay safe. When Cantore arrives,it's happening.

If anyone in that areas got hit hard might want to try to listen to the 800 state conv freqs. I remember NWFL was using that for a few months.

Guessing flooding or something else damaged that site in cedar key. Wonder if the Duke Power P25 system still active that way. I know Taylor Cnty is on SLERS.

I'm sure more people would check in, but a lot of people in the area of the Hurricane Idalia's landfall still don't have power. Power was just restored here at my home in Lafayette County (the X) a couple hours ago.

This map is only for Duke Energy, so those numbers are much fewer than actual numbers of outages (and by customer, not by individuals).

Update: Map showing percentage of power outages by county. For the Dark Red, that is 90% plus outages, so, basically, those counties are/ or were completely dark for two plus days.

Just a quick scanner hit up, anyone have VHF low band in their near hit lists?
Curious if any vhf low band users beside Pike and Irby are talking. Have not been out mobile
to scan and see what I can here from Central Florida, but I am curious if anyone is getting anything.
