TTC Subway, something changed?

In the past I was able to take my scanner in the subway and listen to the operators and dispatch talk back and forth... The past couple days my car has been broken so i was taking the subway (Bloor Danforth line) and i hear absolutely no chatter on the subway channels, only on the main surface TTC channels.

Has the TTC implemented a new system or something? Its not the scanner cuz i took another one (I have several) and it didnt pick up anything either, and i didnt change any programming.

These frequencies is what I'm referring to. I double checked and they're still fine in my scanner.

The TTC is transitioning to a TETRA system called PowerTrunk. It is a 100% IP based system, although encryption isn't an "always on" feature, with it being IP based I don't think monitoring is going to be a viable option. At any rate, here's the frequencies it will operate on below.

I believe transmission over the air is not IP-based but TETRA-compliant. The result is the same though, i.e. no monitoring with a scanner.

Yes and no. You can't use any off the shelf TETRA equipment as radio ID's are basically IP addresses. It is kinda a hybrid between OPENSKY and TETRA, if that makes sense.

Well, I had to take the subway today again so I took the scanner again just to see if anything was working...

Again, I heard nothing. So i decided to do a search between 422-424MHz, and whaddya know, it seems the TTC changed up the frequencies. I found the following, not sure if it's all of them but here there are.

422.7750 (heard on YUS)
422.8500 (heard on BD)
422.9500 (heard on BD)
423.1750 (heard on YUS - this was listed on the database as VC4)

Now that its confirmed that they changed (at least some) frequencies, maybe someone who takes the subway more frequently scan for more and have the database updated?
