Anyone hear this moron calling 911 and reporting bogus fires? The idiot calls from an address and reports fires etc. to another part of town. He probably got a Pro-97 for Christmas and is like"whoa dude Tulsa Fire Department lets prank em and listen huh huh" Knuckle Heads like this give us a bad name!

Idiots do that all the time around here too. The dispatcher finds out the caller is on the east side of the city and is reporting a bogus call on the west side. Happens all the time...

We have a kid who's been messing up Washita counties SO repeater the last few days, the SO is putting out broadcasts to him telling him to quit and that the FCC has been called. If I was him I'd plan on a long vacation in the ol' greybar hotel! lol

What made you assume he has a scanner at all? He could be just a normal prankster idiot.

Did you guys see the story about the idiot out in CA? I think it's near Modesto, but he's transmitting on the dispatch freq and calling for help, saying there's an officer down, or that he sees a suspect going this way or that. He's also asked for description of suspects, claiming he was a K9 officer. It's been going on for about a year, and they're finally asking for the public's help.

I was just kidding about the Pro-97. I just threw that in there because it was on sale. I do however can't stand it when people have nothing better to do then prank 911 with bogus calls.

Can anyone help me to know what the term "Input" means on the frequency list??
Trying to locate our frequencies to program our radio in our fire truck to update our contact people during this fire storm.

The input frequency is the frequency that radios transmit on. It is referred to as input because it's the frequency that the repeater picks up on before it broadcasts it on a different frequency, which is normally what the radio is programmed to receive.

In other words, you don't need to program the input frequencies into your scanner. You want to program the output, or repeater frequencies.
