I'm currently working on a scanner/information guide for the Tulsa area and I would like some suggestions for the first release. So far I plan on including the following:

Tulsa City 800MHz system freqs and info
Phoenic Alphabet
Common terms (IDL, NCIC, etc...)

Tulsa Police
-Division Map
-Division HQ addresses/phone numbers
-Talkgroup IDs
-Squads (Adam, Baker, Charlie, etc...)

Tulsa Fire
-Talkgroup IDs
-Station loations
-Station addresses/numbers

EMSA
-HQ location
-Posts (when I find them)

Common Police 10-codes
Signals and Alerts

Haven't started yet, but plan on including other frequencies for other Tulsa agencies and surrounding cities (Jenks, Bixby, BA, Owasso, Sand Springs)

Any suggestions would be helpful and I'm going to be looking for some more information soon when I get stuff lined out. If anyone would like to help, stay tuned to this thread and I'll credit anyone who helps out (prefer real name, but nicknames are okay).

Am I correct in the assumption that you are doing this for an off-line resource that weather spotters might use in the pursuit of storms? If so I think it would be a great idea. Police Call from Radio Shack lacks the constantly updated and confirmed local information that this site's dedicated listeners provide.

Uhhhh - may I suggest you save a lot of time and energy? All of that already exists right here on this website.

Yes, there is a lot of information on this site, but it'd be nice to have something to put in your car that goes more in-depth. I forgot to mention I plan on adding in ham frequencies. I've just always thought it'd be nice to have a comprehensive guide for Tulsa. Seems a lot of sites are missing things (ie Fire Station locations). I figure might as well have everything in one place... in my glove box :)

Good idea. I apologize for jumping to the assumption that your work would be an on-line publication. Perhaps one idea would be to create a template or format that all can use in their respective areas (other than Tulsa). BTW, as I'm typing, NE Oklahoma is all over the news due to grass fires and mega wind. Is the radio traffic busy?? :)

reference

I just printed off the information I would regularly need to refer to off of the RRdatabase; then bought me a cheap little 3-ring binder at Wally-world! It works great for what I need. And now that I am a "donating member" I see that I can dowload the database pages in a more 'printer friendly' .pdf format!

Okay, does anyone know how the TPD squads are dished out? I've gotten two different sets of information and I don't know which is correct... well, I lied because one was TPD. I'm looking for what all squads (Adam-Zebra) are connected with; Patrol, K-9, Investigations, Admin, Air Support, etc...

TPDs site says

UDN A-D
UDE E-H
UDSW I-L

But I don't know if all of those are patrol squads (I think they are)

Another source (scantulsa.com) states:

Uniform Division North (UDN) - 3646 North Delaware Avenue
Adam - Patrol Squad - Beats A1-A6
Baker - Patrol Squad - Beats B1-B6
Charlie - Patrol Squad - Beats C1-C6
Lincoln - Administration, Investigation, and Street Crimes

Uniform Division East (UDE) - 10122 East 11th Street
David - Patrol Squad - Beats D1-D6
Edward - Patrol Squad - Beats E1-E6
Frank - Patrol Squad - Beats F1-F6
John - Administration, Investigation, and Street Crimes

Uniform Division Southwest (UDSW) - 7515 South Riverside Drive
George - Patrol Squad - Beats G1-G6
Henry - Patrol Squad - Beats H1-H6
Ida - Patrol Squad - Beats I1-I6
Zebra - Administration, Investigation, and Street Crimes

Support Division (SD)
King - K-9 Unit
X-ray - Administration, Motorcycles, Mounted, Reserve
Young - SOT, Bomb Squad, RID, Units, 55 Units

Training and Development (TD)
Mary - Training and Development

Detective Division (DET)
Tom - Administration
Union - Crimes Against Property
Victor - Crimes Against Persons

Special Investigations Division (SID)
William - Special Investigations

Chief's Section
Nora - Chaplains
Robert - Chief's Section

Information and Technical Services Division (ITS)
Ocean - Records
Sam - Animal Control

Systems Development and Support
Paul - Systems Development and Support

So I'm trying to get them straight. Any help would be appreciated. I'm also only seeing five beats per squad, don't know where the sixth is.
