Have you heard it again since? Sounds like City Parks or City of Tulsa Security.....I am thinking it is possible that it is an image but if you have heard the talkgroup again I could be wrong.

Okay guys here is the latest I have on this TG. If is for sure some type of law enforment in the Tulsa metro. They talk real quiet like it is a surveilance. They mentioned watching a subject sitting somewhere in front of Morning Starr apartments. For some reason it is only active in the middle of the night from 2 to around 4 or 5 in the A.M. I have heard them on it every night for the last 3 days. It is possible that it is TPD but I'm not sure yet. I'll monitor further and let you know.

I hear the 57840, many times each day and night. Have it programmed into the Pro 96, with several other "Interesting" Talkgroups. Listening requires alot of time, patience and dedication which is required when actually wanting to find the answer to the question. Who is using 57840?

Mark you are probably correct. That would make since that it would be a joint task force. I forgot they were doing the gang grant. I'll monitor further along with you and Clipper and whoever else and maybye we can determine what the channel name is etc. I have it in my TPD scan setup as we speak.

I have been trying to help you guys in tracking the owner to this talkgroup down. After this thread first appeared on the board, I programed it into a special bank that contains OHP, RMA, TAA, TCC & select others. Last week, I finally heard my first traffic on this TG. Something like 846 to 849. This was repeated twice. Because OHP has radio identifiers in this number range, I didn't think anything about it the first time. After the second time, I looked at my scanner and noticed the TG was 57840. The next day before work while I was scanning an unlocked bank looking for new TG's, I heard a conversation with similar sounding identifiers. The TG was 40144, which lists to Tulsa Public Works 3-G, Security & Administration. Over the next several days the radio traffic talked of parks, water towers, and other public assets. At around 03:00 on Thursday morning I heard one unit say to another to switch to "E". Shortly after that TG 57840 went active with a conversation about a salad. I think that TG 57840 is Tulsa Public Works 3-E and that it is used as a secondary channel for Security & Administration. I haven't found any listings for a Tulsa Public Works 3-E TG in any of my "Police Call"s or any other resource, including this site's superior database. Can you guys confirm my theory?

No, I know it is for sure 100% a law enforcment agency. But who remains the question? I haven't heard it used during the day ever, just only late at night.

Peter, in your June 24th posting, you mentioned hearing a referrence to the Morning Star Apartments. Morining Star Apartments are close to both Crawford & Lacy parks. (Please see web address below.)

I still think that this is somehow connected to the parks department security as channel 3-E.

Have you monitored TG 40144? This TG has a lot of radio traffic that talks of locking and unlocking parks, probably park parking lots. The other night I heard a security guard call in to dispatch about a juvenile that had vandalized a flower bed at one of the parks (forgot which one) and he requested police. This was on TG 40144, Tulsa Public Works 3-G.

Program both of these into a seperate bank and lock it out. TG 40144 is fairly active at night, with most posts checking in often at the top of the hour. The patrol officer, radio identifier 821 the last several nights, will check in as he makes his rounds.

Activity on 57840 is very strange at times. I have listened to 57840 alot during the past 8-10 weeks, the users mention watching several places in an area and they were "not" related to city park operations. Recent activity tends to point away from it being city park patrol, epsecially the daytime activities!
