Tulsa DPS Radios Down? (Early Mon Morning)

Turned on my scanner at around 03:00, and heard a supervisor say something like.
"this radio problem is causing profound problems: I'm calling Master to figure out a plan."


Between 3:30-4:30 - Complete silence on all TPD Fleets; began to hear trafffic on 7-A
again around 4:45.

Anyone know what happened?




As I was typing: -Just- heard a dipatcher say "We are back in business, boys" lol
(at 4:45) Wondering what happened during that 2 hours...

I understood that they had a 3 hour maintenance window open to repair and upgrade some systems. I do however know that TCSO, TFD had no communications. They had about 45 minutes warning that this was happening. TPD used talkaround and CB for their car-2-car after talking to two officers this morning.

Sort of, the handful of deputies can talk to each other but not to dispatch.

I'm pretty sure CBs are a thing of the past for TPD I havn't seen a CB antenna on any their units at least since the early 2000s. They use talk around now instead.
