Question for all of you in the Tulsa area. I am never able to monitor communications from the media such as their helicopters etc.

I have a unit an SDS1 and 2 and media is already plugged in for Tulsa county but I hear nothing.

Can anyone step in and help with this question?

Thanks!

Are you using the info from the RRDB? I hope someone local to TUL chimes in! Here in DFW radios are almost never used now, with cellphones being the preferred comms method! If they are used it’s gonna be 450.??? something!
Good luck.,,

123.025 is generally air to air comms so if your local news helicopters and even police helicopters are circling around the same area like a chase or shooting or something youll easily and often hear them talk to each other. If your wanting comms to and from their respective stations then they likely use something else and your out of luck.

As often as tulsa and okc fly their news helicopters for damn near everything you would think they would have their own tg on okwin but im guessing they dont.
