When tulsa police refers to setting up a patch during car chases anyone know what they patch to or what happens.

Dispatchers are patching or making 2 Talkgroups into one so 2 agencies can communicate with each other while remaining on their own channel. Usually during a pursuit you'll commonly hear TPD, Tulsa Co, and OHP patched. it's really interesting sometimes with all the extra radio traffic!

Thanks Phil that did help. I usually just lock onto channel to hear whats going on not knowing what the patch is doing. While searching for new talkgroups with the status bit on today an emergency call came out on 31127 in which was thought to be a police in need of help call. Do you know if these (ID+?) Talkgroups can be programmed and scanned to only pick up the high priority calls.
Don't know which scanner you have but you should be able to program them in.
I have a 246T and know that i can do it. What i meant to ask is can it be effective or do they do things different per calls of this type. Thanks
