This morning (early Monday morning 3am -6am I have noticed that about --1/3-- of the transmissions
coming from TPD'S 30739 night patch are coming in, at least to my scanner, as not audible with great static,
which I have never experienced before. Anyone know of any issues the Tulsa system is having with this patch.....
I don't think it is my scanner. Other talkgroups are clear, and it seems to only be 30739.

It's hard to say, and the talk you provided is actually 30736. Looks like your status bit is still turned off. What kind of scanner are you using again?

I had the same problem last night. I thought it might be my scanner. I at times completely lost contact with the control channel in Broken Arrow.

Single strength variability-Tulsa

I have noticed that the Tulsa system is so variable in its strength.

For example, when I am at my office in south Tulsa, the signal is rather poor.

Interestingly, some frequencies are stronger, others are very, very weak.
Anyone know why this is...

Then in central Tulsa, the signal is great.

For my south Tulsa location, is there anything at all I can do----any antenna that might help?

To answer you question there is really not much you can do. If I had a handheld I would use the Radio Shack 800 duck. The problem with Tulsa is there is a tone of RF through out the city including cell phone, nextell and other interfering RF. The other issue is in deep south Tulsa around the 81st to 91 and south on harvard and yale etc there are quit a few dead spot for scanners due to the hilly and valley type land mass. Hope this helps...

Yep....that is the exact area where the issue is---south Tulsa 101 Yale. Reception is horrible.
Thanks for the info

Dr.
I kind of thought so. The only thing I can advise you to do is put up an outside antenna. It should cure your problem. I used to stay out at 91st and Yale quite often and had the same problem. Other than what I mentioned to you there really is nothing else you can do. Hope this helps...

I've been experiencing the same issue lately with Broken Arrow. The scanner (bct15) will lock onto another channel (usually the 3rd channel in the list) I've been trying firmware update and reinstalling the systems. my other BCT15 has never shown this issue. ??
