Just heard TPD Police 1 asking service-side for a way to talk to Skiatook PD, they checked with SPD and said they didn't have 800 capabilities and she gave 2 Freq.(?) to try. One was F-1325 and the other was F-2250. Anyone have any ideas as to what these would be? He (Police 1) was unable to talk to them so he relayed to service-side, they to SPD via phone.

154.325 is Skiatook Fire

155.250 is SKiatook PD

Fairly normal when talking to a pilot to only give the last 4 numbers of a freq - the "range" of each band segment is usually such that the numbers to the left aren't sigificant. I have a 2m ham radio that's that way, too - since it only covers 144-148MHz, the "direct" entry of freqs would be 5110 to get 145.110.

However, that would make F-1325 into F4325, and F2250 into F5250. Unless of course his radio is working off a "base" freq of 153.000, in which case 153 + 1.325 is 154.325???

Anyone know what kind of VHF PS radio is in Police 1?

I'd really like to see the PD get on the Tulsa system.... reception is kinda patchy in certain spots around town, though.

Could be, but I'd think they'd have something better than that junk.

ROFL. Nah...just change the heads out every day. Eventually you'll come up with a combination that works. :) They could always use a POS VoIP system like Scaremeback Deathteam does.
