Running side by side with my new 536HP, monitoring aircraft band (118 MHz), the BCT15 has a hashy sounding audio and 3 bars on the local airports ATIS frequency, while the tower is 1 bar and very noisy. Switching the antenna over to the 536, and both are 5 bars and clear.
Is there any simple way (tuning a can or two inside) to peak the receive of the BCT15 to pick up the AM aircraft bands a little better?
Ive never opened the scanner to check, since Ive always used it for our overpowered 800 Mhz trunking system until they moved over to a digital P25 system, now I want to repurpose the 15 to aircraft monitoring.
