How do you turn off the ID scan so my scanner will scan a system instead. I have the uniden RCD325P2
I'm not sure what you are trying to get at here.

ID Scan, used on a trunked system, sets the scanner to only receive talkgroups that are programmed and are not locked out, or in a group that is locked out.

ID Search, also for trunked systems, will stop on any talkgroup that is active, regardless of whether or not it is programmed. It does not stop on talkgroups that are locked out, or on TGIDs that are in a group that is locked out.

When scanning a trunked system, you can toggle between ID Scan & ID Search by pressing the FUNC (Function key), then press the Scan/SRCH while you still see the F (for Function) in the upper left corner of the display.

When I first got the scanner I was able to pick one system at a time to scan. Was wondering how to make the scanner to stop ID scanning and be able to pick one system to scan.

You can select which systems, sites, and groups you want to scan by using quick keys. Here is a PDF file which will explain how to use quick keys:
