I rarely hear any traffic of OHP highway units who patrol I44 Turner Turnpike on the state’s P25.
(I am speaking specifically of the channels listed under Troop A: TURNER TURNPIKE

Are these units now simply part of Troop B traffic?

No, they are still dispatched by OKC. Hearing them right now as I am typing this. They are more quiet these days because they can do their business without a dispatcher i.e. run plates, traffic stops, mobile cop, etc. The database is correct and up to date.

A lot depends on how your monitoring the system, if you have a lot of different ID's lumped in together your going to hear who's active and that hinders you hearing everything from everyone. If you just program the OHP ID's and scan them you'll catch more of that traffic.

Yes. Thanks. Freqed

I remember hearing all the OHP “Young” cars on the Tulsa site, but realized they disappeared.
Thanks for all the help.

Possible, Troop K radio traffic is being handled by Troop A OKC.

Yes thanks. I guess I will have to simply program the actual IDs in..

I am in Tulsa, and have both SDS100 and SDS200 and never hear the I 44 Turner Turnpike OHP Units,
and I have a devoted group to only OHP, which for most part, as most know, are dispatched out of Tulsa now.

Troop K Perry is now dispatched by OKC
King units are assigned to a specific county
Young units are on the Cimmaron Turnpike

OKC has and continues to dispatch the Turner/Kilpatrick Turnpikes
Young units on both Turnpikes

Tulsa now dispatches Troop B,C, and L

Troop B Tulsa are Baker units assigned to a specific county.
X-ray Tulsa units are on the Creek Turnpike

Troop C Charlie Muskogee units assigned to a specific county
X-ray Muskogee units are on the Muskogee Turnpike

Troop L Vinita are Lincoln units assigned to a specific county.
X-ray units are on the Will Rogers and the Cherokee Turnpikes

Hope this helps?

Yes I completely get it and Tulsa is still technically KHH73. I've been scanning along time as well.😉

Much like Troop B moved Creek Turnpike traffic to the Troop B Com talkgroup, OKC has moved at least some of the Troop A Turnpike traffic to the Main Troop A talkgroups. I am hearing Kilpatrick Turnpike troopers on Troop A Metro, and Turner Turnpike Troopers on Troop A Rural.

I don't know if this is 24/7 or just during off-peak hours.

You might chuck talkgroup 2611 OHP AR Com in the list and see if that works.

Yeah I’ve noticed I’m hearing a lot more traffic on the AR channel now from turner units and no traffic on the turnpike channel

I am hearing this too as of the last week. Before that I was still hearing them on the Turner/Kilpatrick side. Makes sense to me with the shortage of dispatchers and the combined dispatched centers. Good catch Fast2! This will most likely solve the Dr's problem. He will have to add the 2611 TG to his scan setup. Dr. Katz it looks like your problem might be solved?
