Was receiving all Casino talk groups, now only the Shuttle buses and golf courses. Anyone else notice this? I don't believe anything changed on my end.

@nacsr - I can hear traffic on 454.1125, 454.2625, 454.3125, and 454.5125. My guess is you are seeing the effects of Foliage Attenuation. Those pesky oxygen producers (e.g., trees) are a real issue for UHF signals. Things will get better next winter.

Check out this old thread:

The Turning Stone transmissions are not encrypted.

Don't forget TR Casino and other OIN sites are XPT DMR so you really have to scan each frequency individually and not as a trunked system.

Except Vegas. Quite a few encrypted there.
Check that again. Unless RR is woefully incorrect. There are 5 out of 44 Casinos in Vegas encrypted. 11% are encrypted.
Unfortunately Atlantic City is missing a lot of data.
Here in Southern New England, we have six that I can think of off the top of my head. (Plainridge, MGM Springfield, Wynn, Foxwoods, Mohegan, and Twin River.). Only 1 (Wynn) is ENC.

I stand by my original statement. Most are open and in the clear.

As the TGs are unidentifiable due to encryption, it seems any submission would not meet RRDB requirements.
See Finger Lakes and del Lago for encrypted casino listings. In Western NY encryption seems to be popular with commercial casinos while the Native American ones are not.

And yet there are many systems in the database without tg's. They even ask for people to help identify and submit them.

I was just there for 2 weeks and ALL of Caesars properties are 100% encrypted and have been for 5 years now, and many other non-MGM properties are encrypted. So yes, quite a few.

That's a generic message that pops up automatically when no talkgroups have been added. It's not a request to start submitting talkgroups that don't meet RR guidelines, which I've posted in response to NF2G's comment.

Perhaps we should get back on topic instead of talking about system in Vegas or AC. Seems like post #3 confirms the talkgroups in the RRDB are still valid and are in the clear.
