About to attempt a 6 meter "turnstile" Hentenna. My plan is to build the two "Hens" tune them for 50.125 and phase them like a turnstile, with a 75 ohm 1/4 wave section and a 90 degree delay (kinda like the 4:1 coax balun configuration) and put them up in the air with a temporary pvc mast. Ideally it should have about 2.5-3db gain, with an omnidirectional pattern. Seen one reference where one was used as a beacon antenna, but very little on how to feed the darn thing. Any thoughts?

You can find some information in an ARRL Antenna Book. My edition has a design for 2 meter version but you could scale the dimensions for 6 meters. There is a diagram of the feed. What is your intended use?

I intend to use it as a regular Omni but horizontal for SSB. Now that I think about it, I’ll probably start with a 144mhz version first.
