I wonder if anyone here might happen to own a Samsung UN43RU7100FXZA TV? I am about to receive one as a replacement, from Sears and am concerned about the possibility of it putting out interference on my scanner in the high band range. My old worn out TV doesn't, but I've had some TVs including Samsung, that would put out tons of noise on VHF-Hi. This is one of Samsung's latest TVs. I can't have an outside antenna due to living in an apartment complex, so my radio is in the same room as my TV. I enjoy watching it and scanning at the same time. This TV will be a 43" model. Thanks so much. (Here is a link with the specs on the TV Samsung UN43RU7100FXZA Review and Specs )

i have a pro-2035 1 foot away from a samsung 60" TV with no problems.
it have a variety of frequencies in it low, air, high, UHF, 800.
the only buzz i get is when the computer 2 feet away has a white screen on it.
i would wait until you get it to get opinions about how to fix it.

I have a plasma TV (ugh!) and it puts out so much noise I can't use my HF radio on 20m-80m. My washing machine interferes with HF too. My 536HP and SDS100 don't seem to be bothered at all. If you look through the forums on RR you can find some good info what appliances to check, how to isolate the culprit, and how to use baluns and filters to reduce, possibly eliminate, the RF. Sadly, the plasma Tv can't be tamed and I'm looking at replacing it with an LED model.

I have a couple UHD LED from Samsung, just a little smaller size. I haven't had any problems. Both are a year or less in age.

My discone antenna is outdoors and 25 feet up.
