Twin falls police switched over to a p25 digital system within the last few days. Trying to find the new frequency. I've heard them on several frequencies so I guess I need to find the control channel?

Is this 700MHz P25? I have not seen any recent FCC Grants for license or transmitters in the TF area.
Are you sure it is P25 digital? The only currently active 700MHz P25 transmitter close to Twin Falls is Flat Top Butte north of TF with a control channel of 774.40625.

Nope, it's not. Looks like P25 Phase 1. I found (3) licenses so I'm not sure if these are all the same area/system/site, etc. Put these frequencies into the scanner and see what happens... Of course they could be encrypted.

453.1875
453.3375
453.3875
453.4875
453.5125
453.5625
453.6125
453.9
460.0875
460.3125
460.5
463.15

Yeah I have most of those programmed. Just hear various parts of the transmissions on different frequencies. Its not encrypted.

After a few days of listening these are the channels used by twin falls police. 453.5625 460.0875 453.4875 453.6125 453.7875. Still not sure if its trunked or not.

From looking at the license information, This system seems to have two transmitter sites. One is at the weapons range near 3200 E. and 4100 N. and the other is on 3rd Ave East in Twin Falls. Control channel 460.3125 is licensed for the weapons range site.

There should be another control channel for the 3rd Ave site. It is probably one of the following frequencies 453.7875, 460.0375 or 460.2875 that are only licensed to the 3rd Ave site

Other frequencies licensed only to the weapons range site are 453.5625 and 460.0875.

Other frequencies for this system are 453.1875, 453.3375, 453.4875, 453.5125, 453.6125, 453.9000. These are probable voice/data channels, and are licensed to both sites.

I saw that too but if you look at Google Maps they are pretty close together so there may not be a 2nd control channel -- just depends on their particular configuration.

True. The 3rd Ave site is also a control point, so the 3rd Ave transmitter might be for emergency/backup use.

Anyone down in that area who might be considering a broadcastify stream of TF or SIRCOMM frequencies, id be all over that idea. From the looks of it that area has a lot of wide open channels to be scanned
