#1 - I need anyone with DMR capabilities in the Somerville/Bridgewater area to listen for a day or so to the Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Cap+ system in Raritan & report back with talkgroups - Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Trunking System, Raritan, New Jersey - Scanner Frequencies.

#2 - I need anyone in the greater Edison/New Brunswick area to confirm some DMR hits I got today while working in Piscataway:

  • 461.7125 - Encrypted DMR - Should be the New Brunswick BOE.
  • 462.3750 - CC12 - TG1 - SL1 - Should be St. Peter's Hospital.
  • 463.2000 - CC3 - TG1 - SL1 - Also listed as St. Peter's.
  • 462.4250 - CC6 - TG1 -SL1 - Should be Colgate-Palmolive.
  • 463.8750 - CC3 - TG1 - SL1 - Should be RWJUH, most probably security.
  • 464.4375 - CC needed - TG300 - SL2 - Could be Menlo Park Mall.
I know RWJUH doesn't have DMR on their license, but I caught RWJ-Somerset on Christmas using DMR as well, so I can't see the main campus in NB not using it either.

I was using a 3" stubby UHF antenna on my 436 from the area of Washington & Centennial while searching, so the potential users listed above are the ones that are the closest to the area I was at and/or have DMR on their licenses.

Thanks in advance!

Yes to all of the above, except Menlo Mall is still on VHF analog. I will re-check the Menlo Mall UHF freq in the interim. I have a bunch of others on a list that I have to find; I will submit them when I find it from my Business Frequencies Project from the past two years that I was working on.

No, that has to be set up as normal DMR trunk system. I'm currently working in Sentinel now (adding it and a few others) for the few rare times work actually has me in the Manville area. I'd be happy to export it to an HPE file if you want to see how it's supposed to entered...

Great! I'm still looking at some of the ones that are licensed to St. Pete's, and some look very similar to the ones I found on Christmas Day at my in-laws in Bridgewater. They also come back to Glaxo Smith-Kline Pharmaceuticals in Warren (463.200).

It would be quite easy to hear a Warren station down the hill in Piscataway...

So far, I have a few TGID's, yet It's a bit tough figuring out which TGID is what department. I work in Labcorp, so I'm not too familiar with Ortho.

TGID 6 - Possibly routine Lab Ops and Paging.

TGID 7 - Person calling for a mechanic. Routine Lab Ops?

TGID 4 - Possibly Routine Lab Ops and Paging.

TGID 8 - Maintenance/Mechanics.

TGID 37 - One key up, nothing else.

I'm hoping soon you'll come across the security channel.

Thanks a million for what you've done so far!

Not a problem! You're welcome. I also got TGID's 13 and 15. Most of these ID's I found sound like routine lab operations.

Side note: TGID 7 sounded like a maintenance channel as well.

I'll keep an eye out over the next week or so and see what else I hear.

462.4250 CC6 TG 1 Slot 1: Colgate Maint.
462.2000 CC 11 TG 200 Slot 1: Colgate Ops???
462.2000 CC 11 TG 400 Slot 1: Colgate Security??

461.7125 CC 2 TG 100 Slot 1: New Brunswick BOE High School? (Encrypted)
461.9125 CC 6 TG 100 Slot 2: New Brunswick BOE use (Encrypted)
(Note: All licensed New Brunswick BOE freqs, repeatered and simplex are encrypted)

That's an amazing amount of work so far! Let me know when you want to do a DB submission on the stuff that's pretty much confirmed & we'll go from there.

Scott, with regard to licensing of RWJ, check and see if Barnabas Health had any digital licenses. The two have now merged into RWJBarnabas. There has been lots of crossover in other departments, and maybe communications has gone the same way.

John,

I did check the NJ license assignments for those frequencies - they all come back to RWJUH. Nothing spotted at all for Barnabas...

Got two new Talkgroups which I have submitted to the database as I've confirmed which they are.

TGID 10 was giving out daily radio tests to Ortho Members.

TGID 7 is similar to the maintenance talkgroup, but this seems like It's an ID for lab workers to contact Mechanics if there are issues with equipment.

TGID 4 made a reference to a line tender. (Unconfirmed: Not submitted)

Again, a million thanks for the time taken to keep an eye on it. If you can do it for just a few more days, that would be outstanding!

A lab had some kind of Hazmat situation today, so I'm picking up plenty of new Talkgroups. Plus, I finally heard Security. But it sounds like they don't operate on one set TG. They were switching around from 8, 10, 13 so on and so forth with Unit ID's of 111 and 100.

The new ones are

10 - Seems this is their HAZMAT talkgroup. Security called Hazmat Team units on this channel.
28 - Unknown
37 - Unknown
39 - Unknown
255 - Unknown. Emergencies?

Highest valid TG in a Capacity+ system is 254, so I just updated the data Ken put in. 255 is hard-coded as a system-wide 'All-Call'.

Pretty nice to see it's actually used.
