TXDOT Collin County - Galveston Shipping?

I've been logging TG 16777215 on the McKinney TXDOT site and the only thing I'm picking up is some kind of shipping traffic out of the Galveston area including weather conditions and dock information. Anyone else notice this, what gives?

A few years ago I heard Austin on the Wichita Falls repeater.
I think all the repeaters have IP connectivity. DPS is supposed to be the same way.

That's probably the Galveston ferry as they should be the only TxDOT users on DMR in the Houston area. Not sure what they have IPSC setup between those sites. Maybe it was for testing.

I know DPS has most of the sites linked, when I worked in Texas some of the TXDOT repeater sites were pretty barebones so looks like they upgraded things.

Yeah somebody posted years ago when DPS first went P25 that any dispatch console can connect to any other.

I forgot one time during a winter storm I also heard Wichita Falls DPS dispatch on the TXDOT repeater.

I've heard similar traffic on that frequency and wondered what was up.
