Bought a pre-owned 2017 today for $50 with charger and programming cable. Supposedly never programmed (right!).
Top LED blinking red/green, will not communicate with CPS. Google reveals it is in firmware update mode so I update to 4.05 and load an MD380 codeplug. I can read and write to the radio with CPS 1.3, enter test mode and even loaded a North American contact list, 67K contacts.
The only thing I get is the splash screen, no radio operations at all. The screen changes when I read or write from CPS and when powering down, otherwise it stays on the standard TYT MD-2017 splash screen. No PTT, no other button functions.
Tried loading firmware 4.14 but that didn't seem to work at all but will try again later on.
Anyone have any ideas?
