TYT MD 380 program help

I just purchased a MD 380. Have the software up and running on my window 10 computer. When I try to read the radio I get a, USB occupied or not connected error. I have tried everything.
The USB I use shows a Prolific device. Though I read it should you should eb able to select a DFU setting for the comm port. I have tried other window 10 computers with same problem. Any ideas?

Wrong cable. The correct TYT MD-380/390 cable has no serial chip. Use the factory cable--the one that came with the radio.
