The Face with read out has two setting, dual mode and single mode. The radio beeps non stop in dual mode, when I switch to single mode Key2 shows on screen bottom middle. above the settings button and the beeping stops. I was playing with the radio earlier in the day, turned on cross band repeater mode tested it using my anytone HT, shortly after I started having problems with the non stop beeping. Searched the web on and off 18 hours and there is NOTHING about this issue listed. I can receive and transmit on either side in single mode, not sure about dual mode but I am guessing will transmit in dual mode but there is the beeping. I have reset the radio once, currently have 3 channels saved 2 repeaters and 1 winlink server. The manual honestly needs more work, I am thinking the beeping is from user error, something I turned on or off. does anyone have any ideas I can try to stop the beeping noise? New comet UHV-4 antenna arrives today and am hoping to get some 6 meter and 10 meter action going. Right now am connected to a max rad UHF VHF antenna set to work the 3 channels I currently have saved on radio.

Define "non stop". Every second? Constant tone? When second band receives a signal and first band doesn't? When both bands cycle receiving? Does it stop with the mic unplugged?

Key2 means the key mode 2 is active. Refer to pages 11-13 for description, and pg 40 - "select key functions for the right band function switches."

These look to be a copy of the Yaesu 8900, right down to the ARTS feature. Is ARTS enabled? Refer to page 34. It's an intentional setup, so you would know it.

Did you do an actual factory default reset? Reference pg 47. That didn't fix it?

Read 17-18 on receive mode - not sure that may help you, but it could trigger some related understanding for you.

I was leaning that way - couldn't seem to make sense of its operation.

Good to hear.
