I bought one for dmr and analog scanning. The radio itself is a solid high quality looking radio. I noticed that the tolerances on the build is nice and tight. I would say commercial quality.
The audio is punchy and very nice and clear. This is so much nicer than scanner audio.
I am using it right. Now as a fire department scanner. I create a zone then create 11 receive only channels and program the dpl tones for the channels. Add the channels to the zone and a scan group.
The nice thing is you can program the top but to as a scan button, and using the channel knob change to my dispatch channel.
When you press scan. It scans all the frequencies but if you press the button again it sits on your manual,y selected dispatch channel.
I will be setting up some dmr channels once I get the color codes, slot etc.. From my sdrsharp/dsd setup and will see how it worksout.
