I have read at least one other person who had this problem. His went away, with no clear explanation of what fixed his. And he got a lot of useless information (i.e. CPS doesn't load firmware, so don't go there).
Anyway, I have 3 radios (all Tytera MD UV380s WITH GPS). I downloaded the firmware for S018.016 with GPS. I used a program called MD380-390FlashTool v2.00a. I selected the bin file and pressed flash. It proceeded to flash the radio and gave me a Finish in German, I assume.
Problem: But the radio never went out of flash mode. It's got a blank screen, and the Red/Green LED is still flashing.
I can't write codeplugs to the radio. It still has the codeplug I put in, before I tried to flash it. I can still read the codeplug, so it's not totally bricked. It's just in this flash update mode. I can also reflash the radio using the same software with the same results. So it may not be bricked.
Anyone know how to get out of this? I've watched videos of flashing and did everything in the video. It just didn't return from flash mode.
Some other things I wonder:
1) On the Tytera page, I got the firmware to load. But they mention nothing about how to actually flash the radio or what software to use. I searched around and found this Tytera 380 flash software v2.0 but it didn't mention the UV380. What is the correct software to use to upgrade firmware on the Tytera MD UV380 with GPS?
