Monitoring some Mil Air just now and I hear a pilot with great clarity say he's 20 miles off the coast of Los Angeles. I'm about 200 miles north and wondered what's what to hear him that clear. He ID's as 809, so I take a look. Well...that explains that. Line of Sight at 60,000 feet is around 350 miles. The aircraft departed Edwards AFB which you can see from the trail start.
