TG 29952 aka HEX 750 was assigned to the Paradise FD as their Car to Car group up here in Cache Valley. It shows use by CV RID's in Trunker logs, tho very little use.
I have the "chirp" feature enabled on my PSR500 for the more unusual TG's, and all of a sudden this AM it starts chirping like crazy. Lots of traffic, many units. Very busy. But it's NOT FD traffic.
"Whiskey" units are taking about doing UA's.
And the RID's are not in a Cache Valley sequence.
Four of us CV scannists start furiously comparing notes and we all agree - this must be Adult Probation and Patrol...on the Paradise FD TG!
One of us has "conections" and queries the local dispatch center who digs into it, and finds UCAN has assigned P&P ALSO to HEX 750 aka DEC 29952.
OOPS!
Luckily Paradise FD doesn't talk much.
Now "Plan B" is likely that UCAN or local dispatch will grab the 6 radios from Paradise and re program to another new TG, cuz that's easier than finding the many AP&P radios.
No changes yet to the database until they get it determined, but a surprise! Especially if one of the Paradise FD had started talking to the P&P folk!
Oh yeah, the dispatch center thanked the scannists for finding this and helping them track down before it became a real problem!
