UCONN Spring Weekend

UCONN's notorious SPRING WEEKEND starts tonight with Kill-a-keg and goes until Saturday night. 10,000+ drunk kids and a bunch of cops. I used to fully indulge in spring weekend when I was a student, but I'm kind of past that now. Should be good monitoring though. State PD will be out in force, and I can only assume that they will have the state PD helo there as they did last time I was there as a Student 4 years ago. State PD is expecting this to be a calm spring weekend as they have been decreasingly destructive over the past few years. (probably because we have had poor weather for 8 of the last 10 spring weekends since the big 1998 riots :roll: ) This time the weather is going to be really nice. If your going, bring a camera:wink:

LETS POST FREQUENCIES AND TALKGROUPS IN USE. There will be many agencies active out there this weekend. Maybe even frequencies not normally used for anything.

Arrests made in the low 50s. 30+ were not Uconn students. The rest wont be for much longer.

Mostly booze, drug, and DUI/DWI offenses. However it was alarming that some arrests were made for weapons violations. That is something not to take lightly.

Couldnt hear the Uni PD operate out there in the 800mhz band, could pick up the uni FD with a butt load of static with the sq almost all the way open, couldnt make out much S1 or S2 at most. Could hear the private ambulance Co's. That worked good! Lots of passed out and unresponsive students, stumbling into things, etc
