From the sounds of it, I'd guess it's one of these:
Brown Dot 464.500
Yellow Dot 464.550
White Dot 462.575*
Black Dot 462.625*
Orange Dot 462.675*
J Dot 467.7625
K Dot 457.8125
Silver Star 467.850
Red Star 467.900
Gold Star 467.875
Blue Star 467.925

*By FCC rules, these should only be used by individuals.

You can find all sorts of low power in-store comm's on these. I've found activity on one of these in just about every mall and shopping center I've been to. Plug these into your scanner too:

Blue Dot 154.570 (A common fast food drive-thru freq)
Red Dot 151.625
Green Dot 154.600 (I frequently find Wal-Mart employees talking on this one)
Purple Dot 151.955

FYI, for those who have the BC250/785/296 or 796 these are included in the "special" preprogrammed search.

Thanks again AZ. by the way does this radio have frequencies through 470-490 mhz? or 450-470 mhz?
