hi guys,
I posted a question the other day that you all helped me with, I'm hoping you might have heard of this.
Bucks County TRS was programmed in to my radio wwhen I bought it. When I turned it on, the radio finds the control channel but shows 406.xxx freq. that are not even part of the 500. freq system that Bucks uses. Also, ther are no 406.xxx freq in the bank that Bucks is in.
Anybody hear of this or had this trouble?
Thanks in advance for any ideas. I like the radio, but this is wierd and it is only a week old, so if it can't be solved back it goes and I'll buy another Uniden

Sounds like the system frequencies were programmed in, but the base/offset/step are probably stuck at some default values.
If true you'll need to set up the Custom Frequency Table in the radio. Do you have Win96 software?

Hello,

From what you described, it seems the 3600 CC Mode was not set to Table. Change the CC Mode to Table. The V-Scanner folder for Bucks Co has the correct Base, Offset, and Spacing, except the CC Mode was set as Normal. There are some who had the same problem and once the CC Mode was changed to Table, it worked fine.

Hello,

Press: PGM, TRUNK, FUNC, and 3 and use the up or down keys to make selection. Press Enter when done.

UHF ODD FREQ ON PRO-96

Hi again,
THANKS VERY MUCH. I'm new to the PRO-96, but not to scanning. You guys are the best for info!!!!!
I'll try that and see if I have any more problems. Like I said, I love the radio-it's like having 10 scanners in one package. Just these little bugs that are annoying. I've had my bc785d for two years and it spoiled me with it's (I think) easier menu.
Thanks again

Hello,
You are the MAN--that fixed the problem. I looked thru the manual again and it is in there, but it's under 800 mhz splinter freq, that's why I didn't see it. I wasn't working on that type of system so I didn't look there
Thanks again, very much

Glad we could help. I hate to see a PRO 96 returned to the store. Someone will always have a good home for the unit. :D
