That looks like a nice system. How do you link them all together? Is it RF links, or all done over the Internet?

I'm in the Columbus area; I'll listen in on 442.550 tonight if I remember.

Hey all,

Years ago, I picked up a linked repeater system in the 2 meter VHF band. This system was the FARA system ran by the Fairfield Amatuer Radio Association from near Cincinatti. The frequency I picked up was on 146.625MHz and I think it was out of Athens, Ohio.

I was wondering if this repeater system was still online. I haven't heard anything on that frequency for quite a while. I liked to monitor this system because it had alot of traffic on it from diffrent areas. I even heard some calls from Canada on it sometimes.

If anybody has any info, please pass it my way.

Have a good one

Ok

Thanks for the infomation. The website was the one I was looking for. I knew there was a map of the system online somewhere.

I'm going to try to punch in the 145.190MHz freq and see if I can hear anything on it.

Again, thanks for the info

The FARA system is an open system now. You don't need the DTMF code to open the system anymore.
